This is one of the most popular garnish. It is used mostly in Indian garnish. Coriander leaves can be used to neutralize gastric acidity. Some uses coriander leaves for beautifying the dishes. In Indian community, the coriander mint chutney can be served together with the meal. Coriander leaves can be very beneficial as the leaves kill fungi and bacteria which is good for the people who are having gastritis and other acidity symptoms.
Medicine :
- In 1 teacup buttermilk, mix 1 to 2 teaspoon of fresh juice coriander leaves and take 2 to 3 times daily. This can be taken by the people who are suffering from nausea, indigestion, hepatitis and dysentery.
- For haemorrhoids, red clay can be mixed with ground coriander leaves with desired quantities and they must be made into fine paste to be applied on the affected place at bedtime. It helps to heal haemorrhoids.
- If there is a bleeding nose, coriander leaves can be made into fresh juice and use it as nasal drops.
- Juice of fresh coriander leaves can be mixed with turmeric powder and made into paste can be applied as face pack daily before going to bed. It helps people with blackheads and pimples.
- Coriander leaves can be made into paste and it can be applied when there is rashes on the skin.
